SPIRIT DAY 1
Our journey took us from small family farms deep within the rainforest of the Maya Mountains to cacao groves along the southeastern coast. Everywhere we went, we were welcomed with warmth and generosity. Farmers invited us into their homes and fields, allowing us to film and photograph their work as they shared their stories, their traditions, and their reflections on the meaning of cacao in their lives.

SPIRIT DAY 2
Through these encounters, we gained a deeper appreciation for the tremendous effort required to grow cacao—an effort that is often unseen by those who enjoy chocolate around the world. Many of the farmers who sustain this ancient crop live with limited resources, yet their dedication to the land and to their heritage remains strong. Their work is the foundation of the global chocolate industry, even though they receive only a small portion of its rewards.
